On the same night as the accident, the Hollywood Tower Hotel was closed down, supposedly to assess the danger of the building. The fate of the Tip Top Club's attendees remains a mystery but it is known that the executives from G-Force Records managed to escape, albeit under mysterious circumstances. That night paranormal lightning from the 5th dimension struck the hotel causing five people to die in an elevator crash. In attendance at the party were executives from the next-door G-Force Records. Said halloween party had the sisters Dolly, Dottie and Ethel Bounds AKA The Silverlake Sisters performing in the club. The club was open for the last time on the October 31st, 1939 when it was throwing a Halloween party. On the July 15th of 1931, Hollywood's successful Herman family died in an elevator crash on their way up to the club. It housed a small orchestra that would perform big band style music, such as " Sing, Sing, Sing". In regards to the ride Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, it is a reference to the Twilight Zone character Anthony Freemont. The club's orchestra was led by Anthony Fremont, according to an advertisement in the lobby of the Hollywood Tower Hotel. On a First International News newspaper pinned up by the League of Adventurers to celebrate their 1931 rediscovery of the Temple of the Crystal Skull was also a story on the Herman family going missing in the hotel after trying to reach the Tip Top Club.ĭuring the golden age of Hollywood, the Tip Top Club was a popular gentleman's club for Hollywood's elite.
